Getting Selected For The Navy
There are so many of us who aspire to be a part of the navy. Considering that a career in the navy is very lucrative, there are numerous contenders vying for the same. However, getting through the navy selection process is not that easy a task. The selection process is primarily divided into five stages. You need to clear each of these stages to be able to get through the navy.

The first step in the navy selection process is submitting the application form. You must be at least 18 years of age to fill in this form. You need to provide all correct and authentic information in this form else you will be disqualified. You will also be required to provide several documents that are asked for along with the form.

After you have submitted the form, you will be required to give an aptitude test. This aptitude test is meant to judge the overall capabilities of an individual. The aptitude test judges an individual on the basis of reasoning, general knowledge, numerical calculations and understanding of the language.

The aptitude test is followed by a personal interview. This is just like any other interview where in you will be asked various questions, some pertaining to the job and some general ones. The interviewer may want to know about your previous life experiences and assess your various qualities such as patience, team player spirit and the like.

Once you are through with the interview, you will be required to appear for a medical examination. The medical examination is conducted to examine whether you are physically fit to undertake the job or not. The physical examination includes checking your cholesterol levels, blood pressure rate, heart rate and the like. If you think that you are not fit enough to undertake the medical examination, you must improve fitness levels in the first place.

The last step in the selection process of the navy is the security check. Only candidates who clear the medical examination are allowed to go through the security check. This test is conducted to ascertain your credibility. You will be asked to answer a set of questions. The answers to these questions will be sent to the Ministry of Defense. If the Ministry of Defense approves of all the answers, it will attest your form.

After you have gone through all the stages, you shall receive a letter notifying that whether or not you have been able to clear through the selection process. It is this elaborative selection process that makes a career in navy quite competitive. So, if you really want to be a part of the navy, you must be well prepared.
